Easter holiday activities for all ages at Wisbech Museum

Easter holiday activities for all ages at Wisbech Museum

Wisbech and Fenland Museum has lots of fun in store for all members of the family this Easter to keep boredom at bay during the school holidays.

A programme of events will keep children from nursery to secondary-age busy and entertained for hours.

Mums and dads, grans and grandads can go on a trip down memory lane and take the kids along with them at the museum. It's right on the doorstep and it's free. There are three top family activities spread over the school holidays, starting next week.

  • Every day apart from Sundays and Mondays, when the museum is closed, a family-friendly Easter trail will lead children to explore every corner.
  • On Wednesdays and Thursdays April 10 and 11 and April 17 and 18, there will be special family sessions from 11am to 3pm for adults to share family memories from the 1950s onwards with their own children and grandchidren and with other museum visitors. Look out and bring a few holiday snaps from the 1950s onwards – of days at the seaside, picnics in the park, fun at the fair. If you can't make it in person, you can still be a part of the project by emailing your photos and memories to At these sessions

* On Saturday April 13 and again on April 20, from 11am – 3pm, young museum volunteers will be running Easter art activity sessions for children. They can make their own Fabergé inspired eggs, Spring flowers or an Easter chick. No need to book.
