From Timber Market to Takeaways - Norfolk Street, then and now

Many centuries ago, when entering Wisbech from the south-east, you came through an area known as the Timber Market, which roughly corresponds with the present day Norfolk Street and West Street.
From its roots as a place where timber was imported and sold it has grown into a diverse commercial area of the town.
This exhibition uses documents, photographs and objects to show how this part of Wisbech had developed over the years and the businesses that have operated there over the years.
