Volunteers

The Museum is very fortunate to have a substantial number of volunteers who support the Museum. They are involved in all the different aspects of Museum work, which range from looking after the objects to helping out at special events and activities.

How can I help?
- Front of House (welcoming visitors, manning the shop, telephone and taking bookings)
- Stewarding (manning special exhibitons)
- Care of Collections (cleaning, storing and indexing objects)
- Archives (research, digital imaging, storing and indexing archives)
- Exhibitions (research, production)
- Education (assisting with school groups)
- Events (assisting with practical
activities in the Main Gallery or Actvities Room)
How do I become a volunteer?
If you think volunteering is for you, download the volunteer form (download Word document) and send it back to us at the Museum (Museum Square, Wisbech, Cambs PE13 1ES). Alternatively you can drop into the Museum and pick one up. When we receive your form, we will contact you to arrange an infomal chat with you.
