Photos

There are around 10,000 negatives, slides and prints in the Museum's photographic collections. Important contributors to these collections were William Ellis, a missionary who took photographs of Madagascar from the 1850s, Samuel Smith who took the earliest views of Wisbech and Herbert Coates whose work includes views of East Anglia and the east coast.


Maps

We have around 650 maps and plans of Cambridgeshire and the Fens, the earliest of which dates back to c. 1590.
